Category A:
This category provide the bulk food we eat. They are the most essential nutrients required in our every day diet. They are also the energy producing category.
i. Carbohydrate
ii. Fats(oils)
iii. Protein
iv. Fibre
Category B:
This category provide nutrients that do not necessarily provide energy. They do produce calories, but they provide substances which are very important in the function of the body's biochemical processes.
v. Vitamins
vi. Minerals
Category C:
This is the the most important aspect of life.
vii. Water
Under subsequent posts, we'll be addressing all these nutrients individually, their roles in bodily functions, and recommended portions To be eaten.
